Hello, I'm
Computer Engineer & User Interface Developer
I am a computer engineer and user interface developer with a passion for turning complex systems into clean, intuitive interfaces. My work spans robotics, autonomous systems, and machine learning. As a hobby, I have been self-teaching web development and UX/UI design.
a little
I am a Computer Engineer and User Interface Developer at Savannah River National Laboratory, building interfaces for robots, autonomous systems, and scientific instruments. I received my B.S. in ECE from Ohio State University, with a focus in Computer Engineering. After working across mechanical systems, instruments, and robotics, I developed a real passion for interface design. With a background in art and design already in the mix, it became a natural place where everything converged.
As a hobby, I have been self-teaching web development and UX/UI design. Coming from a background in hardware, embedded systems, and ML, I always understood how things worked underneath. There's something exciting about having control over how something feels to use, not just whether it functions. B.S. in ECE from Ohio State, and still finding new corners of this field worth exploring.
Outside of work, I run a small custom apparel business with my husband, love to cook, and travel whenever I can! I aspire to see most of the world while maintaining a work-life balance that allows me to grow both professionally and personally.
Experience
Outside of work
I compete in Olympic weightlifting. The snatch and clean and jerk are endlessly technical, where the best train for months just to add a few kilos. I've been committed to this sport for nearly 8 years now.
I travel whenever I get the chance. There's something about being somewhere entirely new that resets how you see things, and I love coming back with a new perspective.
My husband and I love to cook together. Recipes are a starting point, and I like adapting as I go and figuring out what actually works.
Hiking, skating, getting outside when I can. A good reset, since there's only so long you can stare at a screen before you need to go touch some grass.
